PasswordChar Property (GcCharMaskCellType)

Gets or sets the character used to mask characters of a password in the control.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Property PasswordChar As Char
'Usage

Dim instance As GcCharMaskCellType
Dim value As Char

instance.PasswordChar = value

value = instance.PasswordChar
public char PasswordChar {get; set;}

Property Value

The character used to mask characters entered in the control. Sets the value of this property to 0 (character value) if you do not want the control to mask characters as they are typed. Equals 0 (character value) by default.
Remarks

The PasswordChar can be used to create a password field in a dialog box. Although you can use any SBCS character, most Windows-based applications use the asterisk (*) (Chr(42)).

This property does not affect the GrapeCity.Win.Text property. The Text contains exactly what the user types or what was set from code. Setting the PasswordChar to 0, which is the default, will display the actual text in the control.
