MoveContent Property
Example

Gets or sets whether the move operation moves the contents of the rows or columns (and rows or columns in between) without changing the index mapping.
Syntax
'Declaration

Public Property MoveContent As Boolean
'Usage

Dim instance As DragMoveEventArgs
Dim value As Boolean

instance.MoveContent = value

value = instance.MoveContent
public bool MoveContent {get; set;}

Property Value

Boolean: true if content is moved in the models and mappings with the models change; false otherwise
Remarks

If you set this property set to true, then the actual contents of the sheet models are moved. If you set this property to false, then the contents of the sheet models are unchanged, and  the coordinate mapping of view row or column indexes to model row or column indexes are changed, similar to performing a sort with SortRows, SortColumns, or the automatic sorting.

If this property is true, cell spans remain visible and the index mappings to the models change. If this property is false then the index mappings for the models do not change and cell spans are hidden.

Example
This example will move the span when dragging a column.
fpSpread1.AllowColumnMove = true;
fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.AddSpanCell(0, 0, 2, 2);

private void fpSpread1_ColumnDragMove(object sender, FarPoint.Win.Spread.DragMoveEventArgs e)
{
e.MoveContent = true;
}

FpSpread1.AllowColumnMove = True
FpSpread1.ActiveSheet.AddSpanCell(0, 0, 2, 2)

Private Sub FpSpread1_ColumnDragMove(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As FarPoint.Win.Spread.DragMoveEventArgs) Handles FpSpread1.ColumnDragMove
e.MoveContent = True
End Sub
