This example sets up a map that uses the X key to extend the selection to include the previous item.
FarPoint.Win.Spread.InputMap im;
im = fpSpread1.GetInputMap(FarPoint.Win.Spread.InputMapMode.WhenAncestorOfFocused);
im.Put(New FarPoint.Win.Spread.Keystroke(Keys.X, Keys.None), FarPoint.Win.Spread.SpreadActions.ExtendToPreviousItem);

Remarks

This action extends the selection to the previous item in a list.
