Text-Formula differences in Excel/Spread

  • tosch 4 months ago

    I have this formula in a cells: =CONCATENATE(“aaa “,TEXT(C2,”#’0.00″))
Cell in C2 has a value of 12350.3.

The result of the formula is: aaa 123500.00
In Excel I get this result: aaa 12’350.00

In Spread then NumberGroupSeparator is missing and the number is multiplied * 10.

How can I format a number as text to be exactly like in Excel?

    Hello,

Our developers have confirmed that it isn’t a bug of Spread control because this bug come from different Custom Numeric Format Strings of Text Function between Excel and Spread.

We are using string.format of .Net framework to format object according a specify format. Below link is Custom Numeric Format Strings of .Net and Excel:-

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/0c899ak8(v=vs.110).aspx

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-or-delete-a-custom-number-format-78f2a361-936b-4c03-8772-09fab54be7f4?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

To display same result in Spread as that of Excel, please input formula as below:-

    =CONCATENATE(“aaa”,TEXT(C2,”#\’0.00″))

    Hope it clarifies.

    Thanks,
    Reeva
